Situated in the Great Rift Valley, Lake Manyara is famous for birdwatching. In the wet seasons, thousands of flocks of flamingos would gather around the lake. 

Lake Manyara and Tarangire National Parks are ideal for short safari trips thanks to their proximity to Arusha city and relatively smaller sizes.


Bird Watching

The avifauna of Tanzania included a total of 1116 confirmed species as of May 2020. Of them, 30 are endemic, 45 are accidental, and four have been introduced by humans.


Lake Natron in the Arusha Region of northern Tanzania is one of the largest pink flamingo breeding ground in the world. This salt and soda lake with its unbearable heat and undrinkable water is home to more than 2,5 millions of lesser flamingoes.
